We are thrilled to welcome new (to us) therapists working with us at Wellspring Counseling Center at our Roswell location.
Kelley Goodwin, MA, LPC, ATR, NCC, CCTP-II
When we’re hurt in relationship, whether by mistreatment, neglect, invalidation, rejection, or abandonment, we feel disconnected from ourselves and others, detached from those with whom we want to attach. We can begin to think we are that disconnection itself, and it is too painful to be with ourselves, to be embodied, or feel our feelings. We end up living in an unbalanced, reactive state of fight/flight- anxiety- or stuck in a freeze state- depression or shut-down. These looping effects of trauma-an emotional reaction to something distressing -can create enduring shadows that stretch across our lives.
I help my clients see unconscious life patterns- ways that they adapt to the effects of trauma that sabotage their sense of self and jeopardize their capacity for relationship. We work together to rebalance the nervous system, increasing your ability to be embodied and be present for yourself and others, to experience more completeness, joy, and connection.
Wounding causes us to live from a defended place with grief and anxieties, seeking any way to avoid, or relieve the pain. Therapy is the reparative process of healing in relationship and again living from our "true," authentic self, with more adaptability, resilience and creativity. Contact me to begin regaining your sense of self and connectedness.
Kelley currently has availability for individual psychotherapy, art therapy and Intensive Trauma Response ITR therapy at our Roswell location. Call Kelley to inquire about scheduling your first appointment.
Mike McNulty, MDiv, LPC
You are a person, not a diagnosis. You are a whole person and your life is more than just a list of treatment goals. I believe that life is about living fully, and the journey is about being able to do that.
My practice includes treating adults, adolescents, individuals, couples, and families. I strive to assist each client in coping with the emotions of sadness, anxiety, and anger. Together, we set life goals and work on improving relationships.
I've been a therapist since 1979 and have treated clients dealing with the emotional adjustment to chronic illness, including paralysis and mild brain injury. My goal is to help individuals improve their self-esteem and relationships. My office is wheelchair accessible.
Mike currently has availability for individual, relationship and family therapy at our Roswell location. Mike is in network with the following insurance companies.
Mike also facilitates a new support group for family members of transgender persons on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays at 6:30-8:00PM. Call Mike to inquire about scheduling a first appointment.
